eFreight MIP reports
Data quality is of primary importance for paperless air cargo business. To address this, the IATA e-freight Message Improvement Program (MIP) aims to increase the quality and penetration (e-coverage) of electronic documents exchanged between supply chain partners, while reducing unnecessary duplication of messages and manual corrections. The scope of e-freight MIP is initially restricted to measurement of the FWB and FHL messages, representing the master air waybill and house manifest respectively.
Each airline must assess and report the current situation in terms of penetration and the number of incorrect messages. This must be completed so that progress and targets can be easily measured.
TRAXON’s MIP reports, which fully comply with IATA MIP Strategy Paper requirements, provide clear and effective statistics for improvement in data quality.
1. CCS reports including
- Summary CCS FWB report for each airline
- Summary CCS FHL report for each airline
- Detailed CCS FWB report for each airline
- Detailed CCS FHL report for each airline
2. Airline reports for IATA including
- Summary IATA FWB report for the airline
- Summary IATA FHL report for the airline
- Detailed IATA FWB report for the airline
- Detailed IATA FHL report for the airline
Depending on what solution the customer will prefer TRAXON provides these reports once a month (latest by the 10th calendar day of the following month) to the customer airline (CCS summary reports and CCS detailed reports) or optionally on customer request directly to IATA (Airline summary reports and Airline detailed reports). At the latest on the 15th of each month, the airline reports for the previous months will be sent to IATA for consolidation.
Benefit:
• With monthly error statistics with relevant agent data, the airline will be able to identify areas for improvement of penetration rate and message quality
• With improvement of data quality, the airline can save further costs on manual data entry and amendment, as well as on data duplication and rejection.
• Costs reduction on customs fines caused by incorrect FWB/FHL data
• No extra effort for report creation fulfilling IATA requirements
• Regular check and control on data makes error management easier
• Optional data analysis based on reports provides customers further possibilities to measure internal data
• No technical investment needed
• Easy adaptation for future e-freight program
Characteristics:
• Automated report creating process
• IATA required standard report
• Other customized reports possible
Target Group:
MIP Reports brings additional value to airlines which are using TRAXON’s CCS services (message exchange via TRAXON) or other airlines which are not directly connected to TRAXON, but using CCSs which are ready to provide all missing CCS information to TRAXON. (Special agreements between TRAXON and other CCS have to be made).
